Met lecturers at Al-Maktoum just now and Dr. Luqman gave a very good advice to me, Alhamdulillah..
He said, remember this hadith; The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Fear Allah wherever you are. Follow up a bad deed with a good deed and it will wipe it out. And deal with people in a good manner.”
[Sunan al-Tirmidhi]
He explained; 1st,Fear Allah when you are alone and when you are with other people. If you fear Allah you'll never commit sins, you will never do something bad because you know Allah is always there with you and Allah is always looking at you. This show the relationship between you and Allah.
2nd, follow up a bad deed with good deed and it will wipe it out. This relates to the relationship with yourself. You need to purify your heart, always repent and ask forgiveness from Allah so that you will get a healthy and clean heart. This heart insyaAllah will bring you to Jannah.
3rd, deal with people with good manner. In your relationship with people, no matter he/she is a Muslim or non-Muslim, show the best of your character and if you have done something wrong to anybody, please say sorry.
If you achieve these 3 things, Jannah is for you, insyaAllah!
Then he said, with this hadith, you can write A BOOK! it's so true, Dr. Luqman.
InsyaAllah I will always remember this hadith~
